Now that out first annual hunt has come and gone I wanted to take a moment to personally thank each and every one of you that helped make the hunt such a success.
First, Our hunters. Thank you! Without all of you we obviously could not have a hunt like this. You each came and joined us and spent your hard earned money, Your vacation time and time away from your families . You believed in us even though it was our first year and I sincerely Thank you!
Our Landowners, What can I say. You all are our local partners in this hunt and I’m proud of the effort you all put forward to make it a success. You got up so early to be on time to pick up your hunters each morning and brought them back safely at night. They were long days and Im proud of the hospitality each of you showed our guests, Thank you!
Our wonderful Sponsors, You all brought so much to our event that it would be hard to imagine having it without you. I want to single out just a couple for a special mention here. Joe Miller, The Owner of Woodbury Outfitters and Woodburyoutfitters.com The presenting sponsor of the hunt. Without Joe and Woodbury it would have been impossible to put this hunt on. Cambridge Classic Ford, Tri State Buggies And Forestech, You all have been such a help this year and I want you to know how much I appreciate you being involved. All of our other sponsors, too many to mention here but a full list is proudly displayed here on our home page, You all teamed with us and helped make this a very successful event. The product we gave away from your companies each night to out Hunters and Landowners was wonderful. I heard over and over from these people that they just couldn’t believe we could just give away so many expensive prizes each night. And you all were responsible for that and Im proud to call you my friends.
The people that helped. My gosh there were so many and without you all I don’t know what I would have done. I want to try to mention as many as possible here, The great staff at The Southgate Hotel, you all did a great job. Speedy Print and Dan Titko, whenever I needed something you made it happen. Dickens Victorian Christmas, These people arrived at 4:00 AM each morning to cook breakfast and pack lunches. Andy white, you were a great help. Dustin Derry and Bill Stashonsky, they had my back that last two weeks of getting ready and I appreciate you. Mark and his family at The Buck Stop for taking and processing the deer. Food Distributors, Kennedys Bakery, Bennett Paper Supply, and last but certainly not least the wonderful staff at The Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center, Jody Schott and her staff were beyond wonderful and someone had to be there at 4:00 AM each day to let us in and they were never late and never let us down. For anyone I may have forgotten I do apologize, I appreciate all the effort that everyone put in.
Our Staff and Guides. Steve, Danny, Todd, Doug and Kate, I’m proud of your effort and professionalism .
In closing, By the end of this week we will have all of the new information here on the website for 2012, Including our plans for Kentucky. I’m excited about the future and all the growth that is on the horizon and we are already finalizing all of the plans for next year. As I look back on this past year I do so with pride in what we have all accomplished together. And also a bit of surprise in how fast the time went leading up to this first year event, I look back at all of the traveling and nights of literally driving all night from places like Birmingham Alabama and Atlanta Georgia so that I could be home Monday morning and work on building and promoting the event, and I would not trade a moment of it. As we all go forward I want to thank you all again from the bottom of my heart. Without every single one of you we simply would not have enjoyed the success that we all had together this year.
